Chess tournaments in Australia

Find upcoming chess tournaments in Australia in one list. Chessmites gathers ACF- and FIDE-connected events from state chess associations, including Chess Victoria, the New South Wales Chess Association, the Chess Association of Queensland and the South Australian Chess Association, plus qualifying events listed on TryBooking. An event is listed only if it is ACF or FIDE rated, or run by an ACF-affiliated body.

Each listing shows the dates and venue and, where the organiser publishes them, the start time, rounds, time control and entry fee. Filter by state, by time control (classical, rapid or blitz) and by ACF or FIDE rating, or switch on the Juniors filter. Every event links straight to the organiser's own page to enter, and says where the listing came from.

Dates and details can change, so the organiser's page is always the last word. The list shows when it was last checked, and events that have already been played drop off by themselves.

No account is needed to browse tournaments. Chessmites also has chess opening courses for juniors and improvers, with the first line of every course free, and an ACF rating lookup.
